During that weekend it dawned on me, and likely many of you, of how utterly ludicrous it is that complications in one network could cause such havok. It highlights, once again, the sad state of competition in Canada’s telecommunication industry.
Interac services were also impacted by the outage, leaving Canadians unable to send or receive e-transfers, or use their debit cards.
It is still unknown what caused the outage and how long it will take to restore services to everyone.
