Café L’Amiral Opens Second Location in Moncton
MONCTON – Café L’Amiral has opened a second location in Moncton. The locally owned cafe has served the Moncton community for roughly four years and owner Pierrick Heudes is excited to be opening this new grab-and-go style location.
Having first opened in 2019 at 527 Main Street in Moncton, Heudes wanted to bring a piece of his hometown to Moncton. At Café L’Amiral, he offers a variety of coffee and specialty drinks, as well as homemade crêpes and paninis that are made from recipes from Heudes’ hometown.
“Everything’s homemade, everything’s fresh every day,” Heudes tells Huddle.

On July 19, Heudes officially opened his second Café L’Amiral location at 191 University Avenue in Moncton, near the Dr. George-L.-Dumont Hospital.
Heudes says this location differs slightly from Café L’Amiral’s first location. Rather than having a seating area, this new location is designed to be a grab-and-go style of café.
“It’s just a grab-and-go: you grab your coffee or pastries, or I’ve pre-made some crêpes and paninis,” says Heudes. “The most popular [items] on the menu I put over there, [people] can just grab-and-go.”
However, this second location is also bringing something new to Café L’Amiral. At this new location only, Heudes has hired a French pastry chef from France that will be working on making authentic French pastries.
Having only been open for one day now, Heudes says that the soft opening of the new location was a great success.
“It was very busy, even at the two locations,” he says. “It was a very successful day yesterday.”
Heudes says that they had seen not only returning customers who had come to support the soft opening, but also many new customers from the new area. Currently, Café L’Amiral only has the two locations, but Heudes says that he is open to potentially expanding further in the future, given the right opportunity.
In the next couple of weeks, Heude says that they are planning on having a grand opening for the second location of Café L’Amiral, however the exact date is not yet decided.
