Manager, Planning and Reporting — CAA Atlantic Limited
Halifax Regional Municipality, NS
Located in either Halifax NS or Saint John NB, and reporting to the Direcor of Performance and Insights, the Manager, Planning & Reporting will provide stewardship for the execution of the corporate strategic plan. They will assist the Leadership Team in defining strategic objectives, OKR’s and KPI’s through facilitated sessions that are held regularly. They will be responsible for providing research, analysis, data stewardship and reporting in accomplishing objectives. The incumbent will work closely with the Business Intelligence Analysts to define and enhance system requirements for performance data collection and reporting. In addition, the position conducts research regarding strategic directions, goals, objectives, strategies and key activities for inclusion in Strategic Plans.
- Develop a reporting cadence that aligns with the budget process and the calendar of board of director meetings that take place annually
- Gather regular updates from all stakeholders on the execution of annual strategic objectives & OKR’s.
- Ensure OKR’s are meaningful and cleDeveloparly defined in the strategic planning portal.
- Ensure updates are maintained and up to date in the corporate strategic planning portal.
- Facilitate monthly reviews and quarterly refreshes of the strategic plan.
- Works with stakeholders to define system requirements for performance data collection and reporting, and to continually improve reporting capabilities. Manages reporting needs by maintaining existing reports and identifying new reports to be developed. Collaborates with stakeholders to develop standardized reports and dashboards.
- Conducts research and analysis and provides recommendations to meet the performance requirements of an evolving strategic agenda and the implementation of initiatives to improve overall delivery and program effectiveness
- University graduate in a business (MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in corporate performance measurement
- Solid organizational and priority management skills.
- Ability to think conceptually, conduct research, analyze and solve complex issues, exercise sound judgment and make effective recommendations
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
- Innovative and dynamic, this person will be a problem-solver and a solution-maker.
- Participate in Association Committees and Working Groups as required.
- In depth knowledge in data governance and reporting tools would be an asset
- Bilingualism is an asset.
