DealerMine Will Add More Than 200 Jobs With Boost From ONB
SAINT JOHN – Through an investment from Opportunities New Brunswick (ONB), DealerMine will create up to 226 jobs in Saint John over the next four years.
DealerMine is a customer relationship management software and business development centre (BDC) used by automotive dealerships in America and Canada. Based in Saint John, their team markets, implements, and supports the sales and service of dealership customers.
Maury Marks is the president and CEO of Quorum, who acquired DealerMine in 2018. He says the new jobs will help grow both customer relationship management and the business development centre to reach new clients, while also building out other parts of the company.
“What we’re doing is we’re really accelerating the selling of the BDC services through the car dealerships out there,” he said.
ONB’s investment will be up to $820,000, which it says would contribute $24 million over four years to the province’s GDP.
While Quorum itself is based in Calgary, Alberta, DealerMine is exclusively based in Saint John. Marks says many of Quorum’s assets are based in smaller metro centres. Quorum brands XSellerator and Advantage are based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Lethridge, Alberta respectively.
Prior to being acquired by Quorum, Dealermine was founded in Saint John over 20 years ago.
“It just makes absolute sense that we would just continue to grow in Saint John and we’re geared as an organization to really help people start their career with us and then work into different roles within the organization,” he said.
Arlene Dunn, the minister responsible for Opportunities NB, said in a release that she is pleased by the company’s commitment to Saint John.
“We are committed to fostering the growth and competitiveness of New Brunswick businesses,” she said. “I am pleased to see this company continue its investment in the Saint John region. This is a further testament to the strength and productivity of our workforce.”
