Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation Announces New Chair And Board Members

SAINT JOHN – The Board of Directors of the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that Lloyd Foote FCPA, FCA became the new Chair on June 23. He succeeded James Gallagher, who will become Interim CEO on July 2.
Foote brings much experience and insight to the role. A Chartered Professional Accountant, he joined the Foundation board as a member in 2017 and recently served on the Executive Committee as the Treasurer/Secretary.
In 2015, he retired from Deloitte as a 28-year senior partner and is currently President of Foote Corporate Advisory services specializing in Chief Financial Officer and Family Office services. He is a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland (B. Commerce).
“With over 40 years experience, Mr. Foote is a seasoned financial expert and will build on his experience as an Executive Member of the Board to continue the momentum that continues to be built at the Foundation,” said Gallagher.
The Foundation is also pleased to welcome four other community leaders to the Board of Directors: Colleen Baxter, Nancy Creamer Ervin, Armand Iratunga, and Melanie Dowd.
Colleen Baxter recently retired from JD Irving, Limited, after 35 years, where she served as Vice President of Human Resources for the company leading the strategic HR direction for over 10,000 employees across a diversified group of companies. She is a graduate of Mount St. Vincent (BA), UNB (BBA) and University of Western Ontario (MBA).
Nancy Creamer Ervin is Vice President and Portfolio Manager at TD Wealth Private Investment Advice and has been providing wealth advice to clients since 1983. Nancy is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick (BBA). She also earned the Portfolio Manager Designation, Certified Investment Manager (CIM®) designation, and attained the designation of Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI®).
Armand Iratunga, an advisor with Owens MacFadyen Group, is an experienced tax and business advisor with 12 years of experience providing business and tax advisory services with two of the Big Four accounting firms. He holds a BSc. in Computer Science with a major in Accounting from the Université de Moncton, is a Chartered Professional Accountant and member of CPA New Brunswick and is multilingual speaking French, English, Kirundi, Swahili and Spanish.
Melanie Dowd-Martell is a manager of real estate, investment and client relations for the Dowd Group of Companies and Somerset Investments. A graduate of the University of New Brunswick, her expertise is in client relations for new and existing clients and new developments within the companies.
