L.L. Bean Opening Store In Dartmouth Crossing In Fall Of 2021
HALIFAX— One of the most popular outdoor lifestyle and clothing retailers, L.L. Bean, has officially confirmed it will be opening a new store in Dartmouth Crossing in the fall of 2021. The Maine-based company has long been popular with outdoor enthusiasts in Atlantic Canada – who will pay for the products online or travel to New England to shop.
The new store will be located at 174 Hector Gate in Dartmouth Crossing. Huddle previously reported that the store will be 15,000 square feet in size.
The company opened its first Canadian store in 2019, in Oakville, Ontario, and has since added locations in Barrie, Ottawa, and Toronto. The company’s Dartmouth store will be its first in Atlantic Canada.
The Dartmouth Crossing store will be one of four new L.L. Bean locations opening across Canada in 2021, with the other three being in Victoria, Burnaby, and Calgary.
In a press release, L.L. Bean said they are expanding after they saw their customer base grow 100 per cent in 2020. Despite the pandemic, L.L. Bean recently reported their best fiscal year in nearly a decade, with net revenues topping out at $1.59 billion- an increase of five per cent from the previous year.
