Virtual Summit Will Focus On Investment In Atlantic Canada’s Innovative Companies
The National Angel Capital Organization (NACO) Atlantic will host a virtual summit on December 10, bringing together key players in the national innovation ecosystem to discuss the rapidly shifting economic landscape in Atlantic Canada.
Amber Mac, former co-host of BNN’s App Central and Bloomberg Brink, will lead in-depth discussions on mobilizing capital, leveraging national connectivity, and evaluating global perspectives on angel investing.
With the recent $2.75-billion (U.S.) acquisition of Verafin, there is buzz around the possibilities for the Atlantic region.
This national summit has a roster of speakers sharing insights on capital raising, angel investing, and how we can build on the momentum of Atlantic Canada to fuel growth within Canada’s national connected innovation ecosystem.
These speakers include two journalists who were recent guests on the Huddle “Home Office” podcast, Peter Moreira of Entrevestor and Gordon Pitts, author of Unicorns in the Woods, a recent book about the creation and eventual sale of cybersecurity firms Q1 Labs and social media monitoring company Radian6 in 2011.
PODCASTS:
- Gordon Pitts On The ‘Code-fathers’ And The Billion-Dollar Sales Of Q1 Labs And Radian6
- Kathryn Lockhart And Peter Moreira On Creating “Baby Unicorns” In Atlantic Canada
