21Inc Names New Executive Director
FREDERICTON – Leveraging the organization’s expansive network is top priority for 21inc’s new executive director Vanessa Paesani.
21inc is an organization dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial leaders aged under 40 years old across Atlantic Canada.
Paesani got her start with 21inc when she herself went through their 21 Leaders program in 2012.
“That’s how I got involved, and I’ve been either volunteering or working somehow with the organization ever since then,” Paesani said.
Before being appointed executive director, Paesani was 21inc’s programing director and also helped organize the Under 40 Summit hosted in Charlottetown last November.
As of 2016, around 300 people have completed 21 inc programs. This is what Pasani calls the 21 Inc Network. As executive director, she said she wants to look at ways to engage this network in cities throughout Atlantic Canada.
“We’re looking to get volunteers from each of those cities to really be the network ambassador for that city and bring people together. Because we recognize that a part of accelerating leadership and really helping people take leadership positions . . . is having a network of like-minded people to support and challenge them,” Paesani said.
“We’re really trying to identify a potential pipeline of people we’d like in our network to start programs. How do we get those people? How do we target people sectors? Because we really want to build a diverse and exclusive network.”
Lisa Hrabluk, who’s on 21inc’s board of directors, said the board is excited about Paesani’s plans for the organization.
“Vanessa’s ideas for the 21inc network get me excited,” Hrabluk said. “I’m really looking forward to working with her to energize this Atlantic network of really really cool people.”
