DrinkNB Brings Craft Beer, Cider Deliveries Back To Fredericton
FREDERICTON – After an initial run at the beginning of the pandemic in March, DrinkNB has relaunched just in time for the holiday season.
The service, started by Red Rover Cider, provides delivery service of cider and beer across Fredericton and the surrounding area.
“People can place an order online and it’s delivered to their door with no-contact pickup,” said Adam Clawson, founder of Red Rover Cider, adding that the service also allows customers to collect their orders in-store.
Clawson told Huddle that customers can place orders to be delivered on Thursdays but hopes to extend to other days with a shorter delivery window in the future.
DrinkNB offers craft ciders from Coastliner and Red Rover as well as craft beer from over 20 producers including Hammond River, Foghorn, Picaroons, and Big Axe. The website also sells Covered Bridge chips.

“We are the oldest cider company in New Brunswick,” said Adam Clawson, founder of Red Rover Brewing. “We were incorporated in 2012 but because we were the first to do what we do, we had to change a lot of policies in government, including being able to put cider into kegs and having local craft cider on the shelves of NB Liquor.”
The service is currently only available in the Fredericton area, but Clawson says he hopes to expand to other areas in New Brunswick in the future.
Red Rover Finds A New Temporary Home
The launch of DrinkNB coincides with Red Rover’s move out of their downtown location into their brewery.
After operating out of their downtown Cider House for four years, Red Rover decided to open a temporary outlet store, Ciderworks, out of their brewery at 880 Hanwell Road. They are hoping to open a new location in the new year.
“We decided to move up here so we can give the customers an actual understanding of how we make our product and to show them how production works at the same time,” said Clawson.
The outlet store sells Red Rover products, merchandise, and will soon offer tours of the facility.
“One thing we weren’t able to do downtown is give people tours and show them behind the scenes,” said Clawson. “We’re going to be giving guided tours for people and their bubbles.”
Clawson says that he’s excited to meet his customers at the outlet location. With plenty of space for parking and extended hours, he is happy to give visitors the opportunity for quick in-and-out trips.
“This gives us the chance to return to our roots and interact with our customers,” said Clawson. “New customers would only know us from our downtown location and would never experience the production of the product. We can really start building up the relationship with our new customers one on one with the people who actually make the product.”
