Beauceron Security Reaches $2-Million In Annual Sales
FREDERICTON – Beauceron Security had a banner year in 2020 reaching $2-million in sales, says CEO David Shipley.
The cybersecurity company, founded in 2015, saw an increase of 60 percent in sales compared to 2019.
The milestone is particularly impressive considering the Covid-19 pandemic’s impact on businesses globally. Shipley says this accomplishment is a sign of hope to other entrepreneurs.
“We share this not as a way of patting ourselves on the back, but by saying that there’s hope, especially for startups out there,” he said. “While grinding through a very difficult year in 2020, it is still very much possible to build and grow your company here in Atlantic Canada and hit those ambitious high growth targets with the help of the community and we are grateful for all the support that we’ve benefitted from.”
Beauceron Security’s cloud-based platform is used by organizations nationwide including large banks, telecommunications firms, and governments.
Beauceron Security’s platform provides employees of an organization with an interactive cybersecurity training course and phishing tests. It is fully automated without the need for management.
“We had a very high renewal rate which was awesome and at the same time, our national partners, regional partners, and our channel partners brought in a lot of new customers. Our enterprise team managed to secure some additional large household names for our large customer account,” said Shipley.
In 2020, Beauceron was part of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s cybersecurity awareness program and became available nationwide to employees of small and medium-sized businesses.
“It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears,” said Shipley. “Thankfully, we have the benefit of an amazing team and great partners both regionally and nationally.”
