Pür & Simple’s Dieppe Location Will Open May 7
DIEPPE – Breakfast chain Pür & Simple will open a branch at Champlain Place in Dieppe May 7, the company announced Monday.
In February, Huddle reported that the breakfast chain plans to open a restaurant at Champlain Place in April and another one on 30 Church Street in Edmundston in June. A location in Saint John is also set to open in May.
“We’re starting the training [for employees] in April so that’s why the opening is just in May. There’s no delay,” said Christian Martin, the restaurant chain’s area developer for Atlantic Canada.
The Dieppe location, which will be accessible from inside and outside the mall, can accommodate 128 guests.
In February, Martin told Huddle that the Dieppe location has “very high visibility” and the fact that TD’s Corporate Offices recently opened at the former Sears location there is “obviously interesting.” The building, which was constructed for around 1,000 TD employees, has a door that connects it directly to Champlain Place.
But even without the offices, Pür & Simple has had its eyes on Champlain Place for some time, he said.
The locations in Saint John and Edmundston are on track, Martin said. The former is expected to open two weeks after the Dieppe branch, and the latter expected to open at the end of June.
The Laval, Quebec-based Pür & Simple serves a breakfast and lunch menu that competes with restaurants like Cora. For breakfast, it offers items like serve french toast, omelettes, breakfast burritos and eggs benedict, among others.
It also has a lunch menu that offers burgers, sandwiches, salads and entrees like fish and chips, among other things. Smoothies, specialty coffees and fruit juices are also on offer. The chain recently added alcohol-based drinks like mimosas, Bailey’s in coffee, wines and local beers to its beverage menu.
The company opened its first Atlantic Canadian location in Moncton last March. It has since rolled out franchised locations in the region, with a goal of opening 10 restaurants this year. Pür & Simple has also been selling franchises in other parts of Eastern Canada, including in Ontario and Quebec.
