WestJet Announces New Flights Between Moncton And Alberta
MONCTON — Two new flights out of the Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport will make it easier for New Brunswickers to fly to Alberta this summer.
Starting in June, WestJet will offer regular flights to Calgary and Edmonton. On June 14, the airline will start a schedule of three non-stop flights per week between Calgary and Moncton.
A few weeks later, on June 29, the airline will start offering two non-stop flights per week to Edmonton.
Both flights will use WestJet’s 737-series aircraft. WestJet has not said how much the flights will cost.
“We know there is strong demand for both of these routes, strategically expanding YQM’s list of destinations beyond regional service with direct East-West connectivity,” Courtney Burns, the president and CEO of the Greater Moncton International Airport Authority, said in a news release.
The new Moncton flights are just a few of a flurry of new flights the airline will offer out of Edmonton during the summer season.
It will also start flying to several western American destinations, as well as several more Canadian cities, including Charlottetown.
