Sculpture Hospitality Opens In Nova Scotia
HALIFAX – A Toronto-based tech company’s expansion to Nova Scotia means it now has a presence in every Atlantic province.
In an Oct. 24 announcement, Sculpture Hospitality announced plans to bring its hospitality inventory management systems to bars and restaurants in Nova Scotia, under the collaborative watch of two franchise owners in the region.
The move to Nova Scotia is the product of a partnership between Franchise Owner Geoff Loukes – who is in charge of Sculpture Hospitality’s New Brunswick and P.E.I. franchises – and Franchise Owner Dennis Roberts, who is in charge of Sculpture Hospitality of Newfoundland.
“Nova Scotia was becoming stagnant, especially after Covid,” Roberts said in the announcement.
“Geoff approached me about buying Nova Scotia. Since we’re the only franchise owners in Atlantic Canada and both operate under shared service, it was an easy choice. I circled back with a partnership plan, making both of us equal partners,” he added.
Sculpture’s expansion to N.S. gives it a wealth of potential business, specifically in Halifax, with its hundreds of local restaurants and bars.
“There is a great tourism market in Halifax. This decision was a no-brainer for us. We’re confident that we’ll at least double our business, once we get going,” Loukes said.
In the release, Roberts noted that Halifax, being a college town, “explodes” when students return from holidays.
“It’s just prime time for us to be making this move,” said Roberts. “It’s a wide-open market that isn’t being serviced and that’s a lot of business and clients who will benefit from it.”
Sculpture, when operating in Nova Scotia, will draw on connections it’s already made working in the other three Atlantic Provinces.
In Nova Scotia, Roberts will be handling account management, while Loukes will be responsible for sales, and HR-related duties.
Sculpture Hospitality was launched in 1987, providing inventory management processes that help bars and restaurants easier to manage.
Sculpture has 370 franchises across the world, and has recently launched a proprietary beverage inventory app – the Sculpture App.
