Moncton Chamber CEO John Wishart expressed gratitude to celebrate in person for the first time since 2019. It’s been a tough year, he says, as the business community continues to recover since the pandemic.
“Fallout from the pandemic, rising costs, supply chain and workforce issues, as well as social issues have weighed heavy on our business community,” said Wishart in a release.
“We have very much been looking forward to seizing the opportunity to celebrate the excellence of our business community in person, a community which has demonstrated resiliency and courage again and again while facing formidable circumstances.”

Each award category’s winner was chosen by a diverse panel of judges representing the plurality of Moncton’s business community.
The People’s Choice Award was tabulated using online votes from the chamber’s website, while the Business Person of the Year was voted on by the chamber’s 17-person board of directors.
