Popeyes Chicken Franchise Will Open In Moncton Too
MONCTON – Famous fried chicken is coming to the Hub City.
Popeyes Chicken restaurant has confirmed to Acadia News that construction is underway on Mountain Road in Moncton.
The new restaurant is tentatively scheduled to open by the end of 2022.
It’s one of two known locations in New Brunswick that will see the famous fried chicken restaurant open its doors.
News broke yesterday that Saint John will also be getting a Popeyes Restaurant, set to open in 2023.
The Saint John location will be built on the site of the former 3Mile Steak and Rib House on Golden Grove Road, the company confirmed Tuesday.
The tavern closed its doors suddenly in early 2019 after more than four decades in operation.
Currently, Halifax is the only location in Atlantic Canada.
It opened in March of this year, creating such a frenzy that patrons lined up for hours just to get a taste.
