Symplicity Designs Welcomes New COO
MONCTON – An Atlantic organizational design firm has appointed a new executive.
Symplicity Designs announced that Patrick Parent has been appointed its new chief operating officer in a May 31 release.
Parent has a quarter-century of experience in the corporate world, serving as vice-president and in the HR department for Moosehead Breweries, the CEO of ANBL and Cannabis NB, the COO of ITacit and MBNA Bank – in addition to several other roles across Canada and the United States.
“From day one of my career, my focus has been on making a transformative difference and creating growth for organizations, communities and people I work with,” said Parent.
Parent has experience working with tech sector startups and has served as the CEO of a $500-million retail and consumer packaged goods corporation.
“I’m passionate about helping teams and organizations identify the mountain they want to climb – whether big or small – and then helping them get there, one peak at a time,” Parent said.
“That I get to work with growth-focused companies right here in Atlantic Canada speaks to the talent, creativity and drive of the Symplicity team and our region.”
Launched in 2013, Symplicity Designs helps small and mid-sized businesses navigate crises and grow.
The firm, which has a mandate of “making the world a better place, one organization at a time,” works with more than 500 clients across Atlantic Canada, helping with the training, transformation and transition of businesses to help them grow. Symplicity has locations in Moncton and Dartmouth.
