Oak Island Tours Shuttered For 2022 Season
CHESTER–Loosening Covid-19 pandemic restrictions have many things reopening, but one of Nova Scotia’s most famous tourist attractions won’t be among them
Oak Island Tours announced in a Facebook post on Wednesday the tourist hot-spot—which is privately owned—and the interpretive centre won’t be opening for the 2022 season.
The tour typically includes researched historical information, interactive features like a geological show and tell, and scavenger hunts.
No reason was given as to why folks can’t tour the island this year. Oaks Island Tours did recommend checking out Salty Dog Sea Tours for boat tours of the area.
Oak Island Tours had not responded to requests for comment at the time of publishing.
More to come.
