Rothesay Bra Business To Move And Expand In 2022
SAINT JOHN–A Rothesay business has purchased a new, larger space it plans to renovate and open early in the new year.
The Bra Room on Clark Road has existed for more than six years in its current home but its owners, Katherine Crilley and Teresa Goldsmith, have been doing professional fittings for 14 years.
Crilley said they are “beyond excited” to move into their new space at 22 Marr Road.
“We’re more than doubling the space that we have and it will be a space that is our own. We have purchased it so we get to not just expand our business but be our own landlords,” Crilley said.
Crilley said adding more fitting rooms was definitely a priority.
“We often do find we are lacking in that department when we get really busy. More than so than anything, our goal was to expand on all our different categories, sports bras, nursing bras, and menswear–and we also do mastectomy fittings. We’re all certified mastectomy fitters. We wanted to be able to not just offers more products to our clients but display more products, have them out so people can see them more readily,” Crilley said.
Crilley said they will be sharing their new location with Ken-Val Rehab.
“It’s a beautiful space. We have loads more parking than we have now. Often we do have people who are going through physio treatments who do get recommended they come see us whether it be for a sports bra for posture or post-surgical bra for a procedure they’ve had done. I think it really aligns well with us to have them be able to send people over when they are going through treatments for things,” Crilley said.
She adds their clients have really “shown up” during the pandemic and allowed them to grow and expand.
