NB365: Steve Millburn Of The New Brunswick Railway Museum In Hillsborough
This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today, we hear from Steve Millburn of the New Brunswick Railway Museum in Hillsborough
Just minutes from downtown Moncton, the Hopewell Rocks and Fundy National Park, the New Brunswick Railway Museum houses the most expansive collection of vintage rail stock and railway artifacts in the Atlantic Region. If one has even a passing interest in trains and local history, there’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy.
On top of being a tourism destination, we’re also a registered charity. Serving our community, complimenting our local businesses, is much more than a business strategy, it’s the foundation of our being. Quickly becoming a destination stop, we’re thrilled to welcome visitors from all over the world, allowing us to share the warmth and beauty of this great community and province.
We did a summer-long marketing partnership with almost every local business, encouraging our guests to experience them during their stay. We even gave tourists a reason to visit our community again at a later date. We’re on a tourism corridor, if folks stay here longer, everyone’s business potential increases.
Becoming a bigger, better, more successful tourism operation buoys our community, and allows us the opportunity to give back more.
