City Approves Large Residential Developments In Moncton
MONCTON – Several large residential developments received the green light to proceed in August from Moncton’s Planning Advisory Committee.
Cordova Realty will build twin six-storey apartment buildings on Cabela’s Court, across from the former store and next to Mapleton Park.
Each building will have 99 units for a total of 198 with surface and underground parking.
Corey Craig Enterprises has a four-storey building with a loft in the works, on the south side of Mountain Road near Sunshine Drive, containing 49 apartment units.
Shannex Developments has acquired land behind the Northwest Plaza to build a 60-bed nursing home.
A seniors community is also planned with 40 new building lots for single-family homes.
To reach the undeveloped site, the Planning Advisory Committee has recommended City Council approve street extensions for Worthington Avenue and Cardigan Lane.
Entreprises Mapoma Ltee. will construct a five-unit row house on Croasdale Street, off Grand Trunk.
The same company owns land next door on Millennium Boulevard where an expansive complex of apartments and businesses is planned over several years.
Finally, Trace Planning and Design on behalf of Emmanuel Baptist Church has a six-storey apartment building with 116 units in mind for 80 Morton Avenue near McLaughlin Drive.
