MLT Announces Presenting Sponsorship Of Rotary 101 Resilience Awards
Missing Link Technologies (MLT), has announced their major contribution as presenting sponsor of the Rotary 101 Resilience Awards.
The Rotary 101 Resilience Awards are a cornerstone of the Moncton Rotary Club’s celebrations of its 101st anniversary. The awards will recognize a different Greater Moncton resident every day for 101 consecutive days. People who embody Rotary’s motto of “service above self’’ and who have demonstrated leadership and resilience, and ultimately made a positive impact on those around them and the community that they serve will be honoured at a special brunch celebration in the fall with sponsors and community leaders gathering to celebrate the individual and collective impact the deserving individuals have created. Recipients will also be presented with a custom-designed commemorative pewter award from Aitkens Pewter.
“It is a privilege for us to be working closely with the Moncton Rotary Club on its 101st anniversary, as we are celebrating our own 20th anniversary here at Missing Link Technologies. When we look at the purpose of both organizations, there are a lot of similarities and they both are centered around people and communities. MLT’s purpose is to “Give People the Power to improve the world around them”. It is therefore an honour for us to be recognizing the leaders in the community who have made an impact for all of us and future generations. And to be able to celebrate this event collectively with the community is equally special!” – Thomas George, Chief Executive Officer, MLT.
The special programming as well as the 101 recipients of the Resilience Awards are a very intentional decision from the Rotary Club of Moncton. What was supposed to be a 100th anniversary celebration had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Choosing to turn their gaze towards the future, the Club chose to recognize those who, like all Rotarians, make an impact in their community while also seizing the opportunity to inspire and lead by example.
“It’s important for us to keep the sense of service above self alive in the region. This past year has shown us how powerful service can be in all its forms, and I am very grateful to be part of such a resilient and generous community. I think that honouring 101 individuals will be harder than we think – mostly because it’ll be hard to narrow it down to only 101!” – Clarence Robinson, Moncton Rotary Club President.
Nominations for the Resilience Awards will be announced in the coming weeks.
