Harvest Announces New Ticket Sale Date Following Fiasco
FREDERICTON – The Harvest Music Festival announced the new ticket onsale date will be Tuesday, July 27 at 11 a.m. following a series of technical issues on their original sale date last week.
Tickets to the festival originally went on sale July 16 and technical difficulties on Ticketpro’s online platform left many frustrated ticket buyers in the dark.
The disruption caused the Harvest Festival to halt ticket sales entirely.
The Harvest Festival says the issue that caused last week’s disruption was identified and addressed with Ticketpro. To address the issue, Ticketpro says next week’s ticket release will be moved to a “more high-performance platform” that is able to handle higher traffic.
“We have moved Harvest Music Festival sales to a more high-performance platform, and we’ve added servers to our backend in order to better handle the high traffic of the onsale,” said Ticketpro president, Guislaine Bulman in a release. “We will also be using an optimized version of our site and virtual queue to allow for a more efficient experience for ticket-buyers.”

Harvest encourages ticket buyers to create and login to their Ticketpro account before tickets go on sale, to refrain from using multiple devices and from using the back and forward buttons in the browser while checking out, and to plan their order in advance.
The festival runs September 10 and from September 14-19. The 30th-anniversary lineup includes Jason Isbell, The Revivalists, John Hiatt, Grace Potter, July Talk, Serena Ryder, and many more impressive performers.
Harvest tickets and Ultimate Passes will be on sale online through Ticketpro and by phone at 1-888-311-9090.
