KV Yoga Studio Welcomes Lululemon To Their ‘Haus’
ROTHESAY – Before attending one of their classes, visitors can now browse Yoga Haus’ selection of lululemon products in the yoga studio’s boutique.
The co-founders of Yoga Haus, Stephanie Downey and Jason MacLean, say partnering with the popular athletic apparel brand is perfect for their business as they launch their “new beginning” following a difficult pandemic year.
“There is definitely a feeling of bluer skies ahead,” said MacLean. “We thought, we’re not going anywhere, let’s do everything we can in our power to make this an incredible business that people love to support and are excited to support and we’ve heard nothing but positive feedback so far.”
MacLean and Downey have traveled the world practicing yoga and in their 20 years of experience, they’ve become big fans of lululemon’s products.
“We practice all over the world, we’ve experienced a lot of different yoga products and that’s one of the brands that we’ve experienced and have had some incredible longevity with,” said Downey.
Yoga Haus’ boutique has products from lululemon’s categories of apparel and accessories. Downey says the product selection is expected to grow as lululemon releases new items.
“It’s of course based on availability and accessibility to their new products and their new releases and each time that they do have a new release, we’ll be expanding our inventory and all of those categories,” she said.
The yoga studio opened its doors in 2012 with yoga classes for all levels of ability with the goal of making yoga accessible to all. They offer classes for beginners and experts alike along with classes targeted to people with disabilities, children, and seniors.
In 2020, they began offering online classes in the wake of the pandemic and after finding more of an online client base, Downey and MacLean plan on continuing to grow their digital presence moving forward.
“When you’re in entrepreneurship, you’re looking for how you navigate the challenges that you’re faced with and turn it into something else,” said Downey. “With the online platform, we were able to kind of push ourselves into new realms with the business and expand on your business in that respect that we otherwise may not have taken on.”
With their boutique now featuring lululemon products, they hope to bring more people to their studio in-person in addition to the online presence they’ve built by offering the equipment to match the experience.
“The goal is to bring the benefits of yoga to the people in New Brunswick and abroad and to make it really accessible and that’s what we’ve always prided ourselves on,” said MacLean. “Part of that is taking the equipment, lending itself to the practices, and making it a better experience. That’s one of the beautiful benefits of this project.”
