Moncton Analytics Company Creating 20 New Jobs Through Provincial Funding
MONCTON — Missing Link Technologies Ltd. announced Tuesday it has plans to create around 20 new jobs over the next three years, thanks to support from the provincial government.
A government press release from the province says the new jobs at Missing Link include positions such as software developers, testers, data analysts, data scientists, project managers, telecom technical planners and a marketing specialist.
The Moncton-based company, founded in 2001, provides diverse services, such as advanced data analytics and has a staff of more than 40 IT professionals. It’s grown to have a network of clientele across Canada, the United States and Israel.
Arlene Dunn, the minister responsible for Opportunities New Brunswick, said in the release companies with strong connections around the world are “key drivers” for the province’s economy.
“I know Missing Link Technologies takes great pride in being a New Brunswick-based company,” said Dunn in the release. “This is another example of the positive momentum we are seeing.”
To support the company’s hiring plans, the release says Missing Link is eligible for a payroll rebate of up to $160,000 with funds from Opportunities New Brunswick. The jobs would contribute around $2 million to the province’s GDP and generate more than $225,000 in provincial taxes over the life of the agreement.
Thomas George, CEO of Missing Link, said in the release that the company’s collaborations and other partnerships with businesses and government agencies like Opportunities New Brunswick have helped Missing Link grow.
“We are more focused than ever and we intend to become a recognized leader in our field and in the New Brunswick business community,” said George in the release. “Now, we are ready to go to infinity and beyond.”
Missing Link has already hired eight new employees this year and is now on track to surpass its 20-person target before the three-year mark.
