Fredericton Nut-Free Restaurant & Bakery Opens For Business
FREDERICTON – Lincoln Heights has a new restaurant and bakery after Jenna White held a grand opening for Jenna’s Nut-Free Dessertery on Thursday.
White says she is excited to welcome customers into her new business and reception has been positive so far.
“I love the reaction that we’re getting about the food that we’re offering. People seem to be really happy that it’s fresh, it’s made-to-order, it’s local, and it tastes good.”
Though she had originally expected her location at 170 Urquhart Crescent to be more like a bakery, White says the reception to her fresh food offerings has made her reconsider.
“We’ve been told we have the best breakfast sandwiches in the city by different customers, which is great. Same with our chili and our pulled pork. So it’s been really good, quite good reception from everybody that’s eaten here so far,” she said.

Along with White’s assortment of baked goods, White offers breakfast sandwiches throughout the week and then adds a more extensive menu on Saturdays including waffles, pancakes, and breakfast poutines. She also offers sandwiches and other lunch items throughout the week.
White says for at least the next few weeks, she will also be open on Sundays as well in order to give more people the opportunity to see what she has to offer.
Thursday’s grand opening included a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Kate Rogers, her first as mayor, and a ceremony with members of St. Mary’s Wolastoqiyik First Nation.
White says she’s eager to continue growing the business and adjusting her hours of operation and the menu.
“It’s all still new,” she said. “I hope it expands organically and exponentially as we move forward.”
