Joel Plaskett: Juno Winner, Music Producer, Coffee Shop Owner
Mark Leger has been a fan of Dartmouth’s Joel Plaskett for 20 years. He has listened to his albums and gone to his live shows in both small suburban coffee shops and arenas where Plaskett performed with The Tragically Hip.
Plaskett is an entrepreneurial musician. He runs a production studio where he’s worked with Maritime musicians like Jimmy Rankin, David Myles, and Mo Kenny. He owns a local coffee shop that is run in partnership with local record store Taz records. He’s a Juno and ECMA-award winner, and a really interesting guy to talk to about music, family, the challenges of the pandemic, and life in the Maritimes.
