This Detailer Wants To Give Your Car The Spa Experience
FREDERICTON – Detailers across the province are cleaning cars for the spring, but the team at Heins Auto Spa is giving the full spa treatment.
The detailing service, located at 360 Lincoln Road, is the only in the province recognized by the International Detailing Association – a leading industry association for professional detailing operators, suppliers, and consultants.
Lawrence Heins, owner and founder, says the certification means he has been tested and understands the best practices for car detailing.
“To become a certified detailer, they make sure that you are aware of when to use the proper products, tools, equipment, and the whereabouts of detailing to make the customer as happy as possible,” he said.
Heins began detailing vehicles in 2004. For 13 years, he worked on car detailing over the summer but in 2018, he made a career change and began operating independently out of a minivan.
“I’m an entrepreneur by trade, my whole family’s entrepreneurs by trade as well,” he said. “So, it’s nothing new to us to get in and open a business all-in.”
Since his success as a detailer, he has opened a sister company RNL Auto Sales, where he sells and finances cars. But, even as his businesses have grown, his passion for car detailing has remained strong.
“There’s just an unbelievable feelings when you get in the vehicle and to see the transformation from dirty to clean,” he said. “The deeper you get into it, the more rewarding it is for everything from paint correction, blending panels, to fixing light scratches. The world’s your oyster.”
Heins is grateful for the support he’s gotten from clients over the years and his co-owner and store manager of RNL Auto Sales, Robert Sarty.
The Auto Spa prides itself on bringing luxury detailing services with “spa packages” ranging from standard detail, deluxe detail, and showroom detail.
In that spirit, Heins hopes people can recognize the special care he and his team brings to their service.
“There’s a lot of verbiage that gets thrown out there in regard to car details so I didn’t want to just say we’re another detailing company. I wanted to make it more personal to my audience and make it more unique, almost like a niche,” said Heins. “We have a special place for our clients and that’s where I thought Auto Spa would be a better fit.”
