ANTIGONISH – Randy Delorey, MLA for Antigonish, resigned his post as Minister of Health and Wellness and Minister of Gaelic Affairs Wednesday ahead of an expected run for party leadership.
He has not yet announced his intention to run for the Liberal Leadership and Premiership.
However, in a Facebook post on Oct. 1, Delorey said many people are encouraging him to run for the position.
“I look forward to announcing my decision next week at an event.”
No word yet on where and when that event will be.
Candidates have until Friday to submit their nomination papers.
