Maritime Business Launches Online Purchasing For Personal Protective Equipment
SAINT JOHN – If you run your own business, it can be difficult to know what to order for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – how much is too much or too little? Is it safe enough and tough enough for the job?
For businesses who need to know, Maritime Rescue and Medical (MRM) is providing Covid-19 supplies and medical equipment alongside its industrial safety services throughout Atlantic Canada.
“For obvious reasons we found ourselves needing Personal Protective Equipment for our own usage and we couldn’t get it at a reasonable price or in the quantities that were necessary so we decided to go back to our roots by supplying it ourselves,” said Stan Elliott, MRM’s Operations Manager.
MRM is locally owned and has operated from its Saint John office for nearly two decades.
Examples of MRM’s services for commercial and industrial sites include Confined Space and High Angle Rescue, Fresh Air Systems and Equipment Rentals along with site and safety training.
MRM’s goal is to provide PPE options for local businesses, large and small.
MRM received its Medical Device Establishment License approval from Health Canada and are now selling PPE. They offer protective equipment, including 3ply Civilian Masks, 3ply Level 2 Medical Masks, KN95 Masks and PET Shields.

Elliott said MRM anticipates small-to-medium businesses being their main customer and wants to sell to local organizations that provide PPE to the public or customers.
The company continues to provide its customers with dedicated and high-quality industrial safety services, training and equipment rentals.
Elliott adds Maritime Rescue and Medical consistently hire industrial stand-by rescue personnel.
Maritime Rescue and Medical’s expansion into PPE is another way it can support local companies and customers in the Atlantic Bubble by supplying Canadian authorized and Health Canada approved PPE at competitive pricing.
MRM has launched a new website specifically to order and pay for PPE online. Local businesses can pick up their orders directly.
