Employee At Saint John Area Retirement Facility Tests Positive For COVID-19
QUISPAMSIS – An employee at the Parkland retirement home in Quispamsis has tested positive for COVID-19.
Shannex, which operates the facility, said the individual works at Jubilee Hall and Concorde Hall.
The company said two other employees who work in Halifax and Dartmouth have also tested positive for the coronavirus.
“The management teams at these locations are working closely with Public Health representatives in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick,” said Shannex in a statement.
“They are receiving support from our COVID-19 Response Team, which includes our Infection Prevention and Control Specialist and Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness team members, to ensure all residents and team members are following proper precautions with the health and safety of our residents and team members as our highest priority.”
Shannex said it implemented advanced screening protocols for employees this past week to minimize the risk of COVID-19.
All employees must enter their location through a designated entry point and will have their temperatures checked.
