Fredericton’s Remsoft Acquires Ontario Company Xtivity
FREDERICTON – Remsoft announced Thursday that it has acquired Xtivity, a London, Ont.-based managed services firm focused on improving asset availability through effective maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) inventory management.
Remsoft uses big data to bring business intelligence to managing and optimizing land assets in forestry, utilities and other resource sectors.
The acquisition means more inventory and supply chain management for the Fredericton company’s offerings. It also means expanded resources, including teams of seasoned analysts, MRO Supply Chain domain experts, and software developers to support customers globally, as well as Xtivity’s machine learning-based Pulse decision support system.
“At the core, both companies are focused on providing customers with actionable, data-based insights to drive critical decision making,” said Remsoft CEO Andrea Feunekes in a release.
“We provide intelligent analytics technology and services, grounded by deep domain expertise, to help companies uncover the best choices amidst competing data elements. That’s the synergy we’ll be building on to deliver more value for customers in our combined markets.”
Xtivity provides its reliability-centered inventory solutions for various sectors, including some of the world’s largest industrial asset companies in pulp and paper, mining, automotive, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, and transportation industries.
Xtivity will run as Remsoft’s subsidiary, and managing director Andrew Jordan will continue leading the company’s operations.
