Chris Johnston Becomes CEO Of Bulletproof
FREDERICTON — New Brunswick-based IT and cybersecurity company Bulletproof has named a new CEO.
The company announced Tuesday that Chris Johnston was named to the role as of January 30.
Described by the company as a “strong leader with a diverse background across several industries” in recent years, Johnston has led Bulletproof’s sales organization.
Long time Bulletproof CEO and co-Founder Steven Burns will be stepping down as CEO and taking on the role of chairman/advisor. In his new role, he will continue to be a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team.
“I am extremely pleased to announce that Chris Johnston has been named as CEO of Bulletproof,” said Burns in a release. “Chris has been involved in our company for some 10 years and has a great handle on who we are and, most importantly, who we can be! Chris has a strong vision for our future growth; leveraging the potential and momentum we’ve been able to generate over the last several years.”
Founded in Fredericton in 2000, Bulletproof has been in business for more than 20 years with a focus on IT managed services, cybersecurity, quality assurance, and eLearning.
The company now has offices in Fredericton, Moncton, Saint John, Charlottetown, Halifax, Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Austin, Las Vegas, and Fairfax. Bulletproof has grown from 100 to 200 employees in the past three years, more than doubling revenues over the same period.
