Over 674,000 passengers took flights last year. Past record years were over 681,000 in 2018 and over 677,000 in 2014.
It was also another hugely successful year for domestic cargo activity at YQM with 1,775 aircraft movements from Cargojet, FedEx, and EVAS.
YQM also had a record volume of cargo flights carrying over 1.8 million kilograms of live lobster to China or European markets.
Other key accomplishments last year include the completion of their runway resurfacing and the addition of more flights with Air Canada Rouge.
“With the economic impact that our airport has on the economy of our community and region, we continuously work hard at positioning ourselves to increase our growth and activity at YQM,” said Bernard LeBlanc, President and CEO of the airport. “We remain grateful for the loyalty of our customers, airlines and partners in the business community and government.”
