Moncton Airport CEO Named To Board Of Airports Council International
MONCTON – Bernard LeBlanc, president and CEO of the Greater Moncton International Airport, has been named to the board of the Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA).
ACI-NA represents airports throughout the U.S. and Canada.
LeBlanc will join another Maritime airport CEO on the ACI-NA board. Joyce Carter, president and CEO of Halifax International Airport Authority (HIAA), is joining the executive committee.
Carter has also been elected the new chair of the Canadian Airports Council (CAC), a division of the ACI-NA. She’s the first woman to assume the role in CAC’s history.
Carter, who has served as CAC’s Vice Chair since 2018, succeeds Sam Samaddar, Airport Director of the Kelowna International Airport.
“It has been a pleasure to work with Joyce over the past few years during her time as Vice Chair of the CAC,” said Samaddar in a news release. “Joyce has exceptional senior leadership experience and an outstanding record of achievement. She has been instrumental in her airport’s successful growth, promoting the efficient movement of people and goods, and providing travellers and communities with access to more air service options.”
