Costco Announced It Will Open New Moncton Store This Fall
We’ll be honest, we didn’t expect this to be the most popular story of the year, but here we are.
Many of you were excited about the new Costco opening on the corner of Elmwood Drive and the TransCanada highway. We don’t blame you, you can get a lot a great things at Costco. We also live for the free samples as much as the next person.
The new store officially opened in November.
These Moncton Entrepreneurs Started A Cab Company For Women, Children and Seniors
Huddle readers loved reading about Pink Cab, a new cab company out of Moncton that caters to women, seniors and children.
The company was started by Mireille Fougère a long-time taxi driver and Melissa Goguen, an entrepreneur, back in November as a response to cab safety concerns in the city.
“It seems the topic is brought up often and then finally, we just decided to go with it,” Goguen told Huddle. “I knew [Fougère] loves driving, so it just made sense to do this for people to make them feel safer. And it’s just an exciting project that would be fun to venture out and it would be cool.”

You guys loved taking a look inside this 110-year-old Moncton Castle which had been converted into condos and Airbnb.
If you decide to book one for a little “staycation” next year, we won’t judge.
Man Steals Sandwich Board, Receives Coffee Shop’s Brand Of Rogue Justice
Back in July, Rogue Coffee owners Mike and Vanessa Duncan came in one day to discover that their business’s sandwich board sign was stolen.
They managed to track where the thief, who looks scarily like Phil Collins from the Trailer Park Boys, stashed the sign. Instead of calling the cops right away, they decided to have some fun with the situation….
You guys loved watching it all unfold on social media. So did we.
Don Mills Dropped These 5 Truth Bombs About N.B.’s Economy
New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada have a lot of issues. The sad reality is, though a lot of us like the idea of changing things, we put up a stink when it comes actually doing it.
CRA founder Don Mills isn’t afraid to tell you that, along with many other harsh realities about our province and region. When he gave a talk to the Saint John business community for the Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce back in September, Huddle readers were interested in hearing some real straight-talk about these challenges.
It was refreshing, that’s for sure.
