IKEA Canada Announces Collection Points in Moncton and Saint John
MONCTON – Shopping at IKEA just got more convenient for customers in New Brunswick.
On Tuesday, the company announced the launch of “Collection Points” in Moncton and Saint John.
Customers can now shop online for IKEA home furnishings and have them delivered to either Collection Point for only $59, regardless of the size and value of the purchase. The company says this represents significant savings over the average home delivery fee of approximately $140 and will also reduce delivery times. For customers who would still like to have their products delivered to their homes, delivery fees and shipping times will remain the same.
“Collection Points allow IKEA to immediately provide our customers with a more affordable shopping experience,” says David McCabe, the acting president of IKEA Canada, in a news release.
The Collection Points are not IKEA stores, and they are owned by third party service providers. Saint John’s Collection Point is located at the Sameday Worldwide at 141 Alloy Drive while Moncton’s is located at the Sameday Worldwide at 623 Mapleton Road.
“In such a large country, it is important to offer a variety of solutions we can use to penetrate markets in relevant and economical ways,” said McCabe. “Moncton and Saint John are natural next steps in our plan to grow the IKEA brand in Canada.”
