Moncton-based AI Timesheet Tech Zephyr Launches Publicly
MONCTON – It’s a problem many in advertising agencies and beyond face daily: the time-consuming monotony of filling out timesheets.
But a recently launched New Brunswick startup says they have the solution. Over the past two years, Zephyr has been developing an artificial intelligence to eliminate the need for advertising agency workers to complete timesheets, something they say can be a massive waste of time and money.
“Zephyr connects directly to the tools agency workers use at work, like their emails, calendar and project management software,” Zephyr co-founder Andrew MacKinnon said. “Each piece of information is processed by Zephyr’s artificial intelligence which performs tens of thousands of calculations and arrives at a probable conclusion about how it affected your work.”
MacKinnon says in North America alone, advertising agency workers spend over 65 million hours every year completing timesheets and spend over $5.5 billion USD annually for time tracking software.
“At the end of the day, Zephyr sends each agency worker a summary of what it believes you worked on that day, and it gives you the opportunity to correct it,” MacKinnon said. “Zephyr is constantly getting smarter and eliminates the need for agency workers to keep track of their own time.”
Currently online for Beta signup, the Zephyr website was launched to allow agencies interested in trying out the software to sign up for the company’s waiting list. MacKinnon says there are over one hundred agencies from around the world who have expressed interest in participating in consultations and demos.
“Our team has been working silently on Zephyr for over two years. As of today, agencies can join our waiting list if they would like to eliminate time sheets from their business. We’ll be rolling out Zephyr to the waiting list in a measured way to make sure that our capacity can keep up with our clients,” MacKinnon said.
MacKinnon added that the company is aiming to eliminate all man hours and funds wasted on manually entering information into timesheets.
