Aquila Tours Founder Named RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards Finalist
SAINT JOHN – Aquila Tours founder Beth Kelly Hatt has been named a finalist for the 2016 RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards as part of the TELUS Trailblazer Award.
The national business awards recognize Canada’s leading female entrepreneurs. The program is an initiative by Women of Influence, an award-winning organization dedicated to advancing Canadian women.
The TELUS Trailblazer Award is awarded to a female entrepreneur who is a true trendsetter, a visionary leader and mentor. This award is given to those who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in their industry and set standards for originality in their field. Kelly Hatt is one of 3 Regional Finalists being recognized in this category, representing the Atlantic Region.
“This award is such an honour and I am deeply humbled and proud. Aquila’s successes have been due to a committed team and I could not be recognised in this way without them,” Kelly Hatt said in a release. “Today Saint John has become what we have come to call Aquila’s ‘Living Lab,’ where we learn what works, what doesn’t, so we can export this knowledge around the world. This industry has given us so much and it is a privilege to be able to give back and help destinations raise their level of excellence so our industry continues to thrive”
The winners will be announced and celebrated at the 24th Annual Awards Gala, hosted by Diane Francis, editor-at-large for the Financial Post on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto.
