Thank You Neville Gilfoy
The East Coast business community suffered a blow this week with the passing of Neville Gilfoy, the founder and owner of Progress Media.
He was an extraordinary champion of Atlantic Canada, a relentless believer and booster in the potential of its people. His Progress magazine has told important stories about Atlantic Canadian entrepreneurs and achievers for decades. A shrewd businessman, he wisely guided Progress Media through turbulent times for all media companies.
Progress events like Face2Face brought together people with bold ideas and vision who wanted to make this region more prosperous and successful.
At the centre of it all was Neville, a boisterous and enthusiastic presence at countless business functions throughout the region. His personality was large, and his optimism was infectious.
He will be missed.
We at Huddle offer our condolences to Neville’s family and friends, and to everyone who worked with him at Progress Media.
Neville will be laid to rest tomorrow, July 23, in Dartmouth. Online condolences can be offered here. In lieu of flowers, donations in Neville’s memory may be made to the Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation.
