Classified’s New Single Just Took On A Whole New Meaning
HALIFAX– We all know East Coast rapper Classified is all about rep’n life in our hood.
So the idea of him teaming up with New Brunswick-born David Myles for a song about people moving to work out west seems like something we’d expect.
But what nobody expected was a horrendous forest fire ravaging one of the biggest places people go to work, causing a city-wide evacuation and state of emergency, destroying countless homes and livelihoods in its wake.
The video for “Work Away” has been in the work for months. However, with the single dropping at this most eerily suiting time, Classified took to Facebook to announce that all proceeds from the single will go to the Red Cross to help the Fort McMurray fire victims.
