Booze Sales Up In New Brunswick

FREDERICTON– New Brunswickers are making more frequent trips to the liquor store. NB Liquor says booze sales rose in its last quarter, generating $107.6 million in revenue, up 3.5 per cent over the same quarter last year.
“NB Liquor experienced another successful quarter delivering growth in both dollars and volume in all categories in the third quarter,” said Brian Harriman, president and CEO of NB Liquor.
Wine sales led the growth, up $1.3 million, with spirits seeing an increase of $1.1 million. Beer sales were also up $700,000 for the quarter.
“We are very pleased with our in-store execution and sales during the holiday season. To date, we have grown our business by $12.9 million in sales versus a year ago with growth in all product categories.”
