Faces of FUSION: Celebrating Action in Saint John
SAINT JOHN – Canada’s oldest city will be celebrating its best and brightest young people on Friday at the Faces of FUSION Awards.
FUSION is a non-profit networking group that serves as a channel for active, civic-minded Saint John residents to network, become involved and contribute to their community. The group is aimed at people aged 19 to 40.
“We strive to breathe new life into greater Saint John, making it the premier place to live, work and play,” said John Fitzpatrick, chair of FUSION.
The Faces of FUSION Awards is the organization’s annual networking and fundraising event held every winter. The events celebrates individuals under 40 who have become an integral part of the community through positive leadership, engagement and determination for change. Nominations for the six categories were held in early December.
“I think it’s important to celebrate the 19-40 demographic because there really isn’t another group that focuses on our group of people in the city,” said Fitzpatrick. “We want to keep our age group involved in the community so creating an event where we can network and highlight the accomplishments adds to our overall goal.”
The Faces of FUSION takes place Friday night at the Saint John Trade and Convention Centre.
