Moncton Ranked 4th in Canada Labour Market Performance
MONCTON– Need a job? The hub city is one of the best places to go to according to BMO’s latest Regional Labour Market Report Card.
Moncton was ranked fourth in the City Labour Market Performance Ranking category. The city has an annual population growth of 1.3 per cent; annual employment growth of 6.3 per cent; an unemployment rate of 6.2 per cent, with 63.9 per cent of the population holding down jobs.
Coming in first place was Guelph, Ontario, with a “puny” 4.2 per cent jobless rate and the highest share of the population that is working. Followed by Regina, Saskachewan in second place and Quebec City in third.
Not bad, Moncton. Not bad.
