Saint John Sea Dogs Name New President
SAINT JOHN – The Saint John Sea Dogs have a new president.
Trevor Georgie was announced as the team’s new president on Thursday.
“I am thrilled to join the Sea Dogs and grateful to call the city of Saint John home. It is a well-respected organization, with great people, committed ownership, passionate fans, and a team with a very bright future. I am coming in at an exciting time and couldn’t be happier,” Georgie said, in a release.
“The community deserves a world-class entertainment experience and a winner, on and off the ice. I look forward to getting to know our fans and getting to work.”
Georgie has worked in sports and entertainment and has worked in leadership roles on the property, client and agency sides of the business. Previously, he’s worked for Toronto Maple Leafs, Regina Pats, Toronto Raptors, Toronto FC, Florida Gators, JUNO Awards, Scotties Tournament of Hearts and PGA Tour events.
Prior to his move to the Sea Dogs, the Ontario native was the senior manager of consulting at Wasserman Media Group. Georgie also managed internationally-recognized marketing and promotional initiatives with Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment and ONE REIT.
“Trevor’s energy, youth and passion are exactly what we were looking for. His leadership style and passion for the game will fit the culture of our organization very nicely,” said Sea Dogs CEO Scott McCain. “Trevor is going to become a part of the Saint John community. He will be key to our sales and marketing efforts. We’re looking for new, innovative ideas. We want to attract millennials and others to build our fan base and we’re anxious to get started.”
