5 Great Things That Aren’t In Huddle
The important, weirdest and wackiest stuff on the web in this week’s installment of five great things that aren’t in Huddle.
1) Obama is making it harder for certain people to purchase and sell firearms. On Tuesday, in an emotional speech from the White House, he announced his executive order to instate stricter regulations on the purchase of firearms. This will mean narrowing sales of guns without a federal license and requiring background checks, among other actions.
2) Kendrick Lamar debuted a new song, “Untitled 2,” on Thursday night’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and blew us away (as per usual). Kendrick and Jimmy talked childhood video games, Kendrick’s 11 2016 Grammy noms and Michael Jackson.
3) It was David Bowie’s birthday on Friday. What was he doing when he was your age? Obviously something better than what you’re currently doing. Type in your age on this website and you can find out exactly what.
4) Unless you been living under a rock for the last month, Netflix’s 10-part documentary series Making a Murderer has got a lot of people losing their shit. However as people are learning, there were some holes in the story, including some evidence that was left out. The gang at Crime Writers On… put out a special bonus episode looking at the Series. Give it a listen:
5) On Thursday night’s Lip Sync Battle‘s Season Two premiere, Channing Tatam went up against his wife, squaring off against wife Jenna Dewan Tatum. Basically, Channing slayed the hell out of his take on Beyoncé’s “Run the World (Girls), dressed up incredibly well for the part. THEN, unexpectedly, Queen Bey herself joined Channing on stage to finish off the number.
We weren’t expecting it. Nobody was expecting it. Therefore, we bow down. (Skip to 1:57 for Channing’s performance).
