The Walrus Talks Innovation (Goo Goo G’ Joob!)
SAINT JOHN – The Walrus Magazine is coming ashore in Saint John on Monday Oct. 26 for its The Walrus Talks speaker series.
The topic for its Saint John stop? Innovation.
The very suiting talk is being held with help from Enterprise Saint John and its True Growth Network Partners.
“The Walrus Foundation approached us to hold one of their highly-acclaimed Walrus Talks events in Saint John,” said Steve Carson, CEO of Enterprise Saint John. “With a theme of ‘innovation and resilience’, it was a perfect fit for a region long known for pushing the boundaries of industry, and bouncing back from hardship.”
The goal of The Walrus Talks is to discover a fresh ideas and ways of looking at big issues. Past Walrus Talks have covered ideas around the Arctic, Aboriginal peoples, the climate, and creativity. The speakers chosen are meant to reflect a range of different viewpoints.
The speakers for the Saint John talk include:

“With some of Canada’s leading thinkers coming to Saint John, it promises to be a thought-provoking and entertaining evening,” said Carson.
“I think we’ll find that there are a lot of different viewpoints appearing on that stage, and some may challenge us considerably. But at the end of the night, it’s about discussion and growth.”
