NB Government Wants You At The Table
The provincial government says a new series of summits will bring New Brunswickers to the table to talk job creation.
Premier Brian Gallant announced Tuesday that the series of Opportunities Summits will take place around the province in the coming months to identify new prospects for creating jobs and growth in the province.
“As a government, we are focused on creating the right conditions for New Brunswickers to thrive, and for the private sector to create jobs and grow the economy,” said Gallant. “Job creation will continue to be our focus in the second year of this government’s mandate. We have momentum but a lot of work lies ahead to create more jobs for New Brunswick.”
The summits will invite experienced business leaders and career professionals, start-up entrepreneurs, youth, academics and researchers, artists, and basically anyone else who’s interested in the issue to share their insights.
“We are looking forward to convening a diverse group of creative, innovative, entrepreneurial New Brunswickers to help us explore all the different potential for job growth that our province has to offer,” said Gallant.
The first Opportunities Summit takes place in Moncton on Thursday, Sept. 24 when the premier hosts those involved in the customer support industry, which employs 18,000 in the province.
