Big Job Announcement Coming for Moncton
MONCTON — New Brunswick Premier Brian Gallant is expected to make a major jobs announcement in Moncton on Thursday.
Ben Champoux, the CEO of 3Plus, Moncton’s economic development corporation, confirmed to Acadie Nouvelle that BMM Testlabs will be expanding its presence in New Brunswick by more than 200 jobs.
BMM, originally from Australia and now headquartered in Las Vegas, is an independent gaming testing laboratory. In an industry that’s seen massive growth and constant evolution, BMM has shown staying power, with over 30 years’ of experience helping gaming operators to test their products and to achieve regulatory compliance – a complex process that varies from one jurisdiction to another.
They also offer training for professionals in the gaming and lottery markets and run a regulatory outreach program.
BMM presently operates an office in Dieppe, which employs around 50 people. In 2014 the company announced plans that would bring those numbers up to 200 over four years.
In the first half of the year, BMM Testlabs reported 7% financial growth. The company has recently added more than 30 new clients.
The announcement will be made at the Capitol Theatre, and the company’s Director of Operations, Jean Corriveau, has said that he expects many of the company’s top level executives will be there.
