FREDERICTON – NB Power’s Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station is back at full power and providing 660 megawatts of electricity to the New Brunswick grid, says the utility.
The station had been taken offline on Friday, Aug. 7, to repair the reheater components of the turbine system in the non-nuclear section of the station.
After a prolonged refurbishment that ultimately cost $2.4 billion, Point Lepreau came back in service in 2012.
