In the fall of 2019, Ted Grant and Hanspeter Stutz created a beverage called VIVEAU. The drink is mixed with fresh fruit and mineral water and has now been picked up by Costco for distribution, and Grant believes the company will only grow larger in the near future.
The major chains had all raised frontline employees’ wages by about 15 percent at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, but recently eliminated the increase.
On January 31 the company will remove all plastic grocery bags from its 255 Sobeys stores across Canada. It’s the first national Canadian grocery retailer to ban single-use plastic bags.
The company said there are no changes planned for the two 24-hour locations in Greater Moncton.
